Explore the North Cascades
The North Cascades are abundant with beautiful scenery. A trip across the mountain passes of State Route 20 is all you need to see why the North Cascades are called "America’s Alps."

Venture around the San Juan Islands
On the islands as a whole, any season is great fun for traveling, discovering and just hanging out. But, those who know, pick a time when the orca whales are feeding off Lime Kiln Point State Park on San Juan Island; or Moran State Park on Orcas Island, at its best in high summer. On Lopez Island, eager bicyclists tackle relatively flat rural roads, marvel at nature on a steamy hot July day.
